Hey, how’s it going?

My name is Christian, and I’m a UX Designer based in Southern California.

My passion for design started at a young age, from convincing my parents to let me change the colors of my bedroom walls to helping my mother select furniture for my room. Over time, I noticed that many people didn’t give much thought to details like wall colors or their daily outfits, which made me curious about why I cared so much. This curiosity sparked my interest in psychology.

I pursued a few psychology courses but wasn’t sure how to translate that interest into a career—until I discovered UX design. It was a perfect blend of two things I loved: understanding human behavior and creating thoughtful, impactful designs.

Living near UC Irvine, I explored their options for UX education and enrolled in their UX/UI Design Bootcamp. The experience was transformative. While I’ve always considered myself empathetic, the course taught me how to channel that empathy into actionable insights through user interviews and usability testing. I learned how to collect quantitative data and translate it into qualitative insights that drive meaningful design decisions.

Throughout the program, I gained skills in creating personas, mapping user journeys, and conducting research, but one of my favorite aspects was designing wireframes and building prototypes for both mobile and desktop platforms. The ability to bring ideas to life and refine them based on user feedback cemented my passion for UX design.

Now, I’m eager to apply my skills as a freelance UX designer. While I recognize that learning is an ongoing journey, I’m excited to take the next step: partnering with brands to create thoughtful, user-centered digital experiences that align with their goals and values.
